DVD's and Cravat Just Got Here! :D

I finally received my DVD's of Emma and Return to Cranford from Amazon... and my Cravat from the Jane Austen Centre in Bath yesterday... I am totally excited about this!!! :D I thought I'd post some pictures while eating lunch. :)

Additionally, I bought fabric for my regency shirts on Saturday, so now I just need to find a moment to get the fabric washed, cut, and sewn! :)

Closeup of the fabric on the cravat:
I also absolutely love the design of the DVD cases... look at the lovely insides...

And they're just like hardcover books, with the same sort of cover... really brilliant design... :D

Another recording! Evening Flights of Fancy...

I just recorded a new track, this time I think I did much better with layering... but I'm still learning, lol! I've titled it 'Evening Flights of Fancy' and posted it to Purevolume... Enjoy! (Credit to Pia Frauss for the Jane Austen font I used for the album artwork)

Tip: If you download it you should get much better sound quality than just listening to it in their player. I recommend listening with good headphones or a speaker system that has a subwoofer for fuller sound. :)

It's snowing!!!

It's been snowing since around noon yesterday... and despite plowing attempts the roads are currently covered over. Here are a few pictures and a film clip... (I decided to try the blogger video, so it might not be as good as the youtube ones)

More Musical Improvisations: Emma and North & South

More music... this time inspired by some of the themes from Emma and North & South...

My pieces are nothing great, just random unpolished improvisations. Note: you might have to refresh after loading the link to make it work.

Emma:

Loose Variations (keyboard instrument, audacity)
Even More Loose Interpretation (multiple layers, garageband... I'm horrible with playing the same melody twice)

North and South:

Short Version (keyboard instrument, audacity)
Longer Version (hollywood strings, garageband)

And another note: the picture for the album cover is pretty old... I think I was about 17 or 18 at the time.

Ballroom at the Upper Assembly Rooms, Bath, England

I took a number of pictures and a video of walking around the ballroom when I visited the Assembly Rooms. Unfortunately, the other rooms were in use, so I only got this one. :( That said, the details that are in this room are really amazing; they're simply gorgeous! Enjoy!
